In smaller venues such as clubs , again the safety of patrons is paramount and linking access control to fire systems will ensure that doors are opened automatically in the case of a fire. The recording of incidents is also important either on CCTV or via an access control log to protect the licence holder from any illegal activity such as vandalism , violence or drug dealing.
