Distribution and Warehousing

Warehouses are designed for fast and efficient loading and unloading and by their nature can cause all sorts of security risks. Goods are often subject to theft or damage even before they enter the distribution centre.  An effective security system can significantly reduce losses.

The sorts of controls that can be applied are:

  • CCTV recording all vehicles and deliveries
  • Dual access control-where two members of staff need to activate the access door from separate locations-preventing the borrowing of access cards to open doors
  • Time controlled access for regular deliveries
  • Vehicle number plate recognition-for monitoring number plates and also setting up access permissions for approved vehicles. This can be used to see delivery time accuracy and vehicle utilisation
  • Trend analysis from access control logs to determine any long term security risks
  • Linking access tokens to consignments and these are then linked to the employee so it is possible to trace consignments
  • New access tokens can be easily issued for high staff turnover
  • Vandal resistant readers for those wishing to damage the reader or try to gain entry

PAC’s systems can integrate with CCTV, intruder, parking management, fire detection and staff protection systems to provide a complete security system.
PAC has the technology and expertise to handle any integrated access control system for the banking and finance sector whatever the size of organization, whether local regional or global.
